Recovering Deleted Files

That was what I searched for on Google (where else…) after some close to 300(?) songs were lost in 肥肥’s Creative mp3 player. Her disk dismounted suddenly while it was transferring files from my MacBook Pro. Upon remounting, we found that almost all her files were gone.

Recovering the files in this case would be easy. It could be just a matter of a corrupted FAT partition.

PC Inspector File Recovery is what I found, and here I am typing away while it is recovering the files. According to PC World:

Depending on how your files were lost, it may be hard to recover them. This data recovery program recovers lost files and finds partitions automatically, even when the boot sector of your machine has become damaged or erased.

Even when a file’s header entry is no longer available, PC Inspector File Recovery can recover the file. The program lets you save recovered files on network drives. It recovers files with the original time and date stamp, so maybe it’ll be like nothing ever happened.

Cool~ Looks like my first attempt at recovering data would be a successful one.
