异/Ethereal (Part 5)

When you have eighty odd members, some active and some not, it’s very difficult to cast all of them into a performance; especially those smaller scale ones. NUS Chinese Dance was fortunate to have five choreographers for this performance, choking up a total of eleven items for our dancers. Then, I am also very greatful that these choreographers are willing to take in dancers with little or no dance background like I was one year ago. It would have made their job a lot more easier if they had chosen only experienced dancers; but they did not.

This item is also known as “Tomato/Strawberry Dance” due to the colors of the costumes. This is one of the items which contains more juniors in it; but it still turned out great. I hope they enjoyed their first on-stage experience.

Melodious Spirits / 音乐精灵
Choreography: Cing Zing
Dancers: Jng Wen, Xue Fen, Si Qi, Jessie, Sophia, Yu Hong, Wei Qi, Chen Cheng, Pei Yi, Yin Yanjing, Zhang Teng and Bee Yong

We dance the moment the music starts…
We are loved, we are beautiful, we are the gift of music…
