I had a not so good experience outsourcing the task of video taking and rendering for Dance Reflections 2006. In fact, it has taken so long that I shouldn’t be using the word “experience”; because the task outsourced is not completed as yet. “Lack-of-progress” may be a more appropriate word.
And I digress~
Borrowed a video camera from Dance Synergy and had one of my alumni to tape down the whole Ethereal performance. Then with the help of iMovie HD and iDVD on my MacBook Pro, I transferred and encoded the whole performance within one day. It took me quite some time to figure out certain stuffs like inserting credits and lower third texts. However, I can see that Apple has made the learning curve pretty gradual. Most of the time spent was actually on the portion of video encoding.
Since I have so many members asking me to share video clips of the performance, I shall start with one that I like most: Curtain Call. Take note of around 1:30min. The cool guy in white is Fen, the choreographer for my Tibetan dance. He is, as my officer-in-charge would say, a natural dancer. Cool~
Other clips/photos to come in once I have more time after I have finished catching up with lectures.
