Dance Camp ‘08 – Opening day

Third NUS Chinese Dance Camp that I have attended and it’s the first that I am not deeply involved in any part of the planning process. YES~!!! Let me continue to indulge in my holiday mood…

A few of the exco members met earlier in the morning for a breakfast session… I reported to them that I’d be reaching late when I set off to Clementi. It then turned out that I reached the earliest and the others reached late because of my announcement. Free time equals random photo taking time…

Fast forward to the ice-breaker session to interact with the juniors when I secretly know that I won’t remember their names even months later… *Oops*

Then it was Dan’s modern dance workshop. It was T.I.R.I.N.G. but fun. First time doing quite a number of actions and it was my first time experiencing difficulty in catching my breathe in the middle of a dance class. Intense… I also realized I’m still very slow and inexperienced in picking up choreography. Grr~ Someone replace the processor in my brain please…

Lunch time~!

After a long break and a number of brain teasers which require one removing one’s Hwa Chong brain, it’s time for ASHF and Sophia’s jazz workshop. They had to tone down the intensity of their class because they knew we were totally taxed out by the earlier workshop. Nevertheless, we went through with the class, ending with L.A. jazz choreography from ASHF and lyrical jazz choreography from Sophia. WOW~! They can open classes of their own liao…

Dinner time~! This time with jazz hands… Haha…

Games time~!!! I We had a great time laughing because I was the photographer…

Random Thoughts

1. Siaoyan said that she was very glad to have attended the first day of the dance camp. I in turn am very glad that we have seniors like her who has the simple passion for dance and nothing more sinister.
2. We seriously need more males in NUS Chinese Dance. ASHF and me were the only guys there… Sianz…
3. Some juniors estimated my age to be 25. I need some youth juice if there is anything like that. *Sobs*
4. Some people are so camera sensitive… Hahaha…
